I'm Orrin Witt—husband to Kara, dad to six daughters, and pastor of Neighborhood Church Lakeland in Florida.
I serve as the campus pastor of a church plant that launched in 2022. Before that, I spent about a decade in youth ministry, and the Lord used those years to teach me far more about His grace and faithfulness than I expected. I'm also working through my degree at Davis College while staying rooted in the ordinary work of local church ministry.
I love good preaching, strong coffee, and that moment when someone's eyes light up because a passage of Scripture finally makes sense. And when I'm not studying, preaching, or sitting across from someone at a coffee table, you'll probably find me chasing birds as an amateur ornithologist or tinkering with some new technology.
Learn MoreMy Calling
People sometimes ask, "How did you know God was calling you into pastoral ministry?" Looking back, I can see God's hand in a series of intervention moments—times when He dramatically redirected my path and forced me to ask what I was doing with my life. The calling itself grew over years of serving and watching God's sovereignty at work through ordinary faithfulness, but the turning points? Those were unmistakable.
Preaching
When God's Word is opened, explained, and applied faithfully, God does what no pastor can manufacture. I've seen Him change people through His Word.
Relationships
Discipleship isn't a program you plug into. It's life-on-life—around coffee tables, in living rooms, and in the ordinary means of grace.
The Local Church
Church is more than just a place to attend. It's a family to belong to. It's God's appointed means for making disciples and displaying His sovereign goodness in a watching world.

"I AM" — The Seven Sayings of Jesus
In John's Gospel, Jesus makes seven "I AM" statements. They're not vague spiritual slogans—they're claims to deity. Each one shows us not only who Jesus is, but why that matters for sinners like us.
Are you seeking Jesus for who He truly is, or mostly for what you hope He'll do for you?
